World Grandmaster

Krzysztof Buras

He began playing competitive bridge at the age of 12, encouraged by his math teacher. Very quickly, he made his first appearances on the national stage, and after a few years and several medals in the Polish Junior Championships, he represented Poland at the European Junior Team Championships in his age category, winning a bronze medal in his very first international appearance. He went on to win both the European and World Championships multiple times. His career continued with further successes in the older junior, university, and eventually open categories. The World Bridge Federation awarded him the highest ranking title in competitive bridge, World Grand Master.
