Bridge May Weekend, or the Poznań Bridge Congress

63 Poznański Kongres Brydżowy

63 Poznański Kongres Brydżowy From May 1st to 4th, 2024, the 63rd Poznań Bridge Congress took place. Instead of a peaceful May break, bridge players got exactly what they love the most – the game, the game, and the game! The main attraction was one of the most important pair competitions, the Open Polish Bridge Pairs Championships. It lasted for three days (qualifications, semifinals, and finals), and as a result, it attracted the best players from across Poland and beyond! Many players from our foundation participated and were considered among the possible winners. What’s more, several of them advanced to the finals, including the pair Przemysław Janiszewski – Jacek Pszczoła, who managed to win the semifinal with a large margin.

28 pairs advanced to the final, three of which were from our foundation: Przemysław Janiszewski – Jacek Pszczoła, Adam Krysa – Mateusz Sobczak, and Stanisław Gołębiowski – Patryk Patreuha. The competition was intense, and a perfect example of this is that just two hands before the end, the difference between first, second, and third place was microscopic. Ultimately, Przemek and Jacek won the bronze medal. Congratulations!
